THE MISSION
This week’s eLearning Challenge is “Show us How you Create Online Courses” which is designed to demonstrate your course development process or workflow.
THE INSPIRATION
I found a checklist online for Instructional Designers, I decided to use this information and keep this challenge short and sweet so that I would have time to update this blog, catch up with other challenges and to decide what to make for the upcoming Guru Awards. I thought that my little list might be a little dull, so I decided to liven it up with colour and animation. I found some vibrant colours on Adobe Color and added a twisted ribbon graphic for each point on the list.
THE PROCESS
The process pretty straight forward; it included some animation of the ribbons, state changes of the text, a page transition and a transparent player.
I wasn’t sure how this challenge would turn out because I thought that the content lacked pizzazz, but I think that the colours, ribbon shapes and animation all combined to make an interesting checklist. I found that you don’t always need an amazing image to draw attention to something simple like this list. Sometimes just a few simple elements pack enough of a visual punch. See for yourself.
This blog post was very useful to me. I’m sure others will see it useful as well.
Useful is always good. I’m glad to help.
I really like the formatting of your post. The headers and bold text ensure it is an easy read.
